Sprite Liquid Mix SBA All-Star Team Completes Tour Undefeated

Washington, DC, The Street Basketball Association's All-Star team proved once again that they are America's Number 1 streetball team going undefeated throughout the 15 City Sprite Liquid Mix Tour. From Boston to Los Angeles, the SBA All-star team kicked butt and took names. They didn't play church league or intramural teams like some other "made for video, but no game" tour teams.

The best of the best came out to represent their hometowns and put their reputations on the line. The Street Basketball Association gives much respect to the teams from New York, Camden/Philly, Detroit, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco for bringing out the best in them.

Players that represented their cities included big names such as: James "Speedy" Williams, "Seven and Some Change," "Headache" and "High Rise" from the And 1 Mix tapes; Charles Jones from LIU and the Chicago Bulls; Richie Parker also from LIU; Rucker Park's "Youngest In Charge"; Kenny Battle from the Phoenix Suns; Nate Johnson from the LA Lakers, Terrell Baker from Fla. State and the Sacramento Kings; and the CBA team in Detroit coached by Flint Fuze's Jere Shockey. All teams were comprised of players who are either playing or have played in Europe, the CBA, NBDL, Globetrotters, ABA, NCAA, Rucker Park or are attending NBA camps. We beat them ALL!

The Street Basketball Association selected tremendous coaching staffs for the local teams. Some of the coaches who participated include: Tim Garrett, former European player and current agent; Mike Magee, former player with the NBA World Champion LA Lakers; Jere Shockey, coach of the CBA's Flint Fuze; Chad Groth, executive scout for the Harlem Globetrotters; Paul Vernon, director of Atlanta's Nike Summer Pro-Am; Malcom Smith, assistant coach at the University of Massachussetts; and James "JB" Brown, Marketing Director for Def Jam South.

We don't want the True streetball fans to confuse us with that other group, so we are going to issue a public Challenge. You know who you are. "We Got Our Five, Get Yours!"

The Sprite Liquid Mix Tour was not only a successful road trip for our All-star team, but the SBA world famous "Ouch" Girls left a lasting impression. While on tour, Ms. Latera Day recorded a track with the Nappy Roots and the "Ouch" girls were featured in the Nappy Roots upcoming video.  The Tour also featured Jay Z and the Roca-Fella Family, 311, Talib Kweli, and Hoobastank.  Sprite contracted the SBA All-stars to be produce exhibition games versus the top teams from each tour stop city featured on a mobile state of the art outdoor street ball court laid out at each concert venue loaction with baskets connected to the back of Cadalac Escalades.

We would like to sincerely thank our representatives from each city and all of our fans who came out to support the tour. We look forward to entertaining you again soon. For those of you who missed the Show, don't worry, our tour video/DVD is in production and will be released later this year.
