Born, raised and running the courts in Jersey City, New Jersey gave me an early appreciation and appetite for streetball. A graduate from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, with a major in Broadcasting and minor in Video production. I interned for Clear Channel Miami, now “I Heart Radio”and was quickly hired afterwards by Cox Radio in Jacksonville, Florida. With my corporate radio experience, I decided to take my talent to smaller markets to be a “big fish in smaller ponds”. I spent the next 25 years doing radio programming, morning and afternoon radio shows on various music formats, including talk radio and high school sports play by play. I have also executed over a million dollars in cash/prizes in promotional giveaways during this time. The past 10 years I have operated and programed KBAB, an Internet Hip-Hop radio station that also has been the home for various basketball organizations.
I have also spent the past decade breaking into the world of professional, semi-pro and minor league basketball. I served as General Manager and Director of Basketball Operations for several teams in the ABA, including three years with the Elmira Eagles who I kept ranked in the top 25 in the country. My final year with the Eagles we were ranked as low as 15th in the league. I managed to make a deal bringing in a Pacific Games player from the Island of Tonga, this opened up a network of global connections and opportunities. I served as a Senior Advisor in the National Basketball League – United States for their first two years. I helped establish teams in various areas and assisted them in all aspects of their start-up operations. I have owned teams in the Professional Basketball Association (PBA) and Independent Basketball Circuit.
My energy is now spent on promoting and expanding the Street Basketball Association (SBA) brand and product which is entering its 25th year! I will be hosting a weekly Podcast on KBAB called “Running the Floor” which will cover everything and anything that is part of the street basketball culture and lifestyle. I also look forward to being one of the voices of the “SBA Game of The Week” tipping off on KBAB in 2025. I am excited for my future with the Street Basketball Association as we expand across the Globe.
