Since 2001, the Street Basketball Association has pioneered the growth and development of grassroots basketball in the United States. Championing the advancement of basketball globally, the SBA produces events around the world featuring the top SBA All-Stars, Basketball Legends, and current All-Star Players.  Now, it is with great excitement that the SBA announces its partnership with Brong Ahafo Basketball Association (BABA) for the development and growth of basketball in the Republic of Ghana! The BABA is a member of the Ghana Basketball Association (GBA) and is the leading organization in Ghana for the advancement of basketball. The SBA will now assist in that advancement of the sport on a grassroots level throughout the country.
The SBA International Federation and SBA Sports Worldwide will lead the partnership that will include development of an official Ghana Street Basketball Association League, fundraising for new basketball courts throughout Ghana, student-athlete foreign exchange,  as well as establishing basketball coaching and training programs. “The SBA is excited and thrilled to help advance Ghana basketball and develop it into a source for basketball talent.  Although Ghana was not chosen as one of the twelve countries for the inaugural NBA Basketball League in Africa, we are confident in Ghana’s future as a basketball powerhouse,” says Jerrod Mustaf (President and CEO SBA). Through this partnership with BABA, the SBA will be the primary point of contact for all funding and business partnerships in the United States for Ghanaian basketball. Additionally, the SBA will be seeking sponsors and marketing agreements with companies that are interested in introducing sports products to The Republic of Ghana.
